The cooler keeps things warm just as well as it keeps them cold. You want a cooler without a lot of extra room. If you end up using a big cooler, put a couple jars of 110 deg F water in there too, to help it stay the same temp.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373525592618391216.post-24173395526273421712012-04-21T21:27:07.955-04:002012-04-21T21:27:07.955-04:00I make my own Greek-styled yogurt , but i don'...I make my own Greek-styled yogurt , but i don't need to drain it- adding dry milk , 2 -3 tbsp per 1 l of milk( I use dry goat milk from UK) gave me wonderful smooth and very thick yogurt .
During past3 months I tried new starter- Lactina
http://lactina-ltd.com
, authentic Bulgarian starter and it's work perfect- after 4-5 h.*43 C my yogurt is ready. If you have never tried making yogurt this is the way to go. So easy no need for any fancy gadgets. Wrapped pot in a towel and the oven with the light on kept the temp were it needed to be. Drained it first thing in the A.M. and YUM...great stuff! I will make this again. Thanks for posting this blog!Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17443842820682203657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373525592618391216.post-17883649810496290352012-04-16T21:47:20.360-04:002012-04-16T21:47:20.360-04:00I have a Waring Pro Yogurt Maker which I put 4 qua...I have a Waring Pro Yogurt Maker which I put 4 quart jars of cultured warm milk into and put the cover on it which leaves about a 3 inch gap to the base. By covering with a towel and setting on 8 hours, I make a gallon at a time. Half goes to Greek style yogurt and the rest into smoothies we have each morning for breakfast.

And I am at my lowest weight in 30 years - thanks in part to the yogurt.

Oh yes, and you can blend in some of those probiotic capsules for a full range of probiotics - I use one that has 18 in it. Note that some have yeast in them so you may just get some bubblies in the yogurt if yeast is involved.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06982973546448984323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373525592618391216.post-1789557103611384042012-04-16T11:23:22.224-04:002012-04-16T11:23:22.224-04:00At what point do I add the sweetened condensed mil...At what point do I add the sweetened condensed milk?Julia (Grammy)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11819733877460676694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373525592618391216.post-23309350859916749502012-04-16T11:21:59.467-04:002012-04-16T11:21:59.467-04:00At what point do I add sweetened condensed milk?At what point do I add sweetened condensed milk?Julia (Grammy)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11819733877460676694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373525592618391216.post-7676468204620554772012-04-14T13:11:39.968-04:002012-04-14T13:11:39.968-04:00Where can I find a heating pad that doesn't ha...Where can I find a heating pad that doesn't have the nanny feature of turning itself off after a couple hours? Also condensed milk works too.
Sweeten condensed milk will sweeten it as well as thicken!
I have used goats milk fresh or canned, made yogurt, strained it, added herbs & garlic, rolled it into little balls & dried, stored it in olive oil in the frig. It lasted a wile and got better with age!Joseph Blaishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02558651571170590054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373525592618391216.post-31644877825615984562012-04-10T10:21:46.924-04:002012-04-10T10:21:46.924-04:00Shannon,
